Trail Conditions: The rain and slush from the weekend froze last night making packed trails hard but slipperry.
19 Mile Brook - hard, packed. Patches of bare ground where water runs down or across. Some traction needed. Flotation not needed. Used Stabilicers and Microspikes. Stabilicers worked better due to bare patches. Microspikes ended up breaking. Acouple large blowdowns.
Wildcat Ridge from 19 Mile Brook to Wildcat A - hard packed still. Used stabilicers up and crampons for descent.
Carter-Moriah from hut to Zeta Pass - from hut to summit of Carter Dome is a postholed mess. We changed to snowshoes to help improve the trail, but encountered 5 cramponed postholers working against our efforts. From summit to Carter Dome trail is hard packed and free of postholes. From Carter Dome Trail junction to Hight is a postholed mess again. From Hight to Carter Dome Trail and Zeta Pass is hard packed.
Carter Dome Trail - hard packed. Some bare patches.

Special Equipment Required: Used Stabilicers for 19 Mile Brook, climb of Wildcat and lower parts of Carter Dome Trail, crampons for descent of Wildcat, and snowshoes from hut to Zeta Pass.

Comments: Previous reports were vague on which section of the trail they covered. CMT from Hut to Dome was not broken out. Seems all the hikers to Dome did so from the North. Please be specific. There are multiple ways to Carter Dome by 19 Mile Brook.
