Kmac, you were just as fun and I'm looking forward to hiking with you again! Congrats to 1x93 for finishing! We also had two other join us along the way...Mark and Jerry...nice meeting you two and thanks for all your help with the trailbreaking!

We really got quite the workout on our way up to A. The trail had not yet been broken out and there were quite a few icy sections. Karen and I both wore crampons so these section posed no problems what so ever. Even the slide area, which I was kind of worried about, was no problem either. I was really suprsied at how deep some of the drifts were! The snow laiden trees made finding the trail tricky in a few spots too.

The views from A peak were incredible! The last time I was there it was all socked in with clouds...but not today! Going along the ridge was fun despite all the ups and downs. Our timing was perfect when we finally reached D peak....the clouds started to lift and we got some really nice views towards the Presidentials and they just kept getting better and better as we made out way down the ski trails.

"Alligator Eggs" ???

This exchange was prelude to the most enjoyable hike Jerry and I have experienced in quite some time. Fellow VFTTers in the flesh! Lots of laughter, more than a few slips on the icy trail, hilarious butt-sliding down the Wildcat ski trails (thank you, MEB), wonderful views (gorgeous pics, kmack), GREAT company, 3 stinky guys in the back seat of kmack's subaru... these are definitely a few of my favorite things.

And I still think it should be "alligator EYES"
