I had an absolutely fantastic hike up the Wildcat Ridge Trail and Carter-Moriah Trail to the summits of the Wildcats and Carter Dome on Monday. Tons of great photo opportunities as well.

Trip report and pics are up on my website. Click here for a direct link

Just one left..... :D :D :D

Nice......great trip report and pics. Good to see you helping out fellow hikers who I hope made it out ok.
1 to go how sweeeeeet it is :D
Best wishes to you this Saturday. I may end up at Carrigan but not sure. I am taking someone on their fist ever hike in the whites (maybe IKE) and want to make sure it is enjoyable.
Either way have a great last of your 48 hike. Great one to finish on.
Happy Trails :D

Awesome! Savor that "one left" for this week. It's a good feeling. :)

Congrats Jamie - almost there and what a trip as a final run up!

Interesting to see the summit cairn on Carter Dome. I think people have brought more rocks up since I was there! :D

Hope you get good weather for Carrigain - it's a gem :)

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I really appreciate it. :D

That's funny, HikerBob! I would bet that the snow really piles up on the summit in the winter since its still below treeline while still standing 4832' tall.

Nice T.R. Art Hiking the AT is amazing I agree with you. I always wanted to do that but due to family obligations and work etc, you know that old crutch I never got to it. I did manage to hike from Ma to Katahdin over a series of two week trips, four years worth in all. I will say that each section has it's own beauty and value. I think the Maine 100 mile wilderness was my favorite but if pressed I could equally rave about the merits of other areas. The experience and characters met were worth the effort. Even if the only way one can do it is by section I would encourage you to do so. Even in sections it is a great journey. You learn a lot about yourself in the process.
