Willey condition
I and Rick hiked Willey Range (Tom, Field, Field, Avalon) on April 5th.
There're a couple river crossing at early part of the trail, not a big deal.
The whole trail is well covered in deep snow. Well packed in the morning, but become slushy in the afternoon with some postholes in the lower part of the trail. Barebootable, but snowshoes can be helpful later in the day when come down to the flatter part.
But the trail is not well marked, have to be careful to stay on the tack. Not many people hike those trails. So if fresh snows covered up the footprint, trail can be hard to find sometimes.
