From: RT 23 Escarpment trailhead (Out and back)
Trail conditions: mostly packed snow, about 1-2" at the base and about 3-4" at the summit ridge.
Equipment needed: at the most, stabilizers, but not necessary. We all barebooted. Waterproof boots and gaitors or a hightop winter boot useful to keep the snow out of the boot.
Comments: Since the last time I did Windham, the lower section has been switchbacked to death. New switchbacks are found just as the trail starts to go up. Trail is in pretty good shape, a few low hanging trees have fallen over the trail a 1/2 mileish from the summit ridge to duck under but overall, it's in good shape.
Glider has been removed sans for a few parts and a wheel here and there.
