I encourage anyone who is interested to join my new Winter Travelers group, its for all of us who are extra passionate about those tough winter trips and travels and hard to reach trails. Pretty sure I didn't see one like this already so I went ahead made it. Check it out!

I have solo traversed 3 times myself. I have never done it in one day though, that does not interest me at all. It is such a magical and beautiful place, but it can be VERY deadly also. I have attempted it (a traverse) MANY times and have aborted more times than succeeded. I had a trip planned for the week after Christmas , but I worked so much through the ICE STORM (134 hrs. in the first week) that it KICKED my %#@* and I decided I'm not as young as I used to be. I hope to be heading out next weekend for 3 nights probably to the Bonds.
