Though not a very fancy name, "snow rollers" are a rarity...maybe once or twice a year, weather, wind, and snow conditions need to be perfect...some fields in Milan, NH, seem to be right in the wind tunnel and I have seen about 5 acres of the rollers at one time...and seen a few above treeline, usually in the spring...
