LenDawg and I hiked up to the Hut as soon as I got out of work (ICK) on Wednesday. Interesting hiking in under headlamp, but the trail is great and way easy to follow, and best of all, the road is OPEN!!

Had a nice dinner at the hut, joined by Heidi, the Hut Master and two very nice gentlemen who make it a Thanksgiving tradition to go there.

Woke up, had some yummy breakfast and hit the trail.

We had originally hoped for the Bonds, but kept revising all day...

Bondcliff, ok, only to Bond, ok West Bond. Oh, maybe Guyot. Right, let's turn around here at Zealand. My knee was a bit sore from an encounter with a tree stump that didn't want to budge, and I think the Turkey dinner at the Highland Center was calling LenDawg.

Stopped off at the 'view' and boy, don't pass that one up, it was quite an amazing site. We also stopped at Zealand Pond for a snack and my, what a beautiful little spot. Didn't see any wildlife, but I'll bet the moose just love it there.

Popped into the Hut on the way down for a warm cocoa, yummy!

We also stopped by the falls to get a better look, so beautiful now that they are begining to freeze over.

Saw a few people out for the day, but not as many as I would have expected.

Dinner at the Highland Center was yummy, all the traditional fare plus some nice additions.

All in all a very pleasant and enjoyable way to spend the holiday. :)
