Yesterday (Tuesday 2/27) I climbed to Galehead, nothing much to write about the trip itself.

The day was gorgeous, with no wind, lots of sunlight and temps around 30 at the trailhead at 9:30 AM! On descending from the summit I stopped for an extended lunch on the south-facing porch, drenched in the sun's warmth, with views of the Twins ridge.

Life is good :) :) :)

I've had the pleasure of lounging on that porch in the sun a couple times in winter. Quite nice  especially with no one around unlike when the Hut is open. ;)

Today's luncheon

was on the frozen Kinsman Pond. Views and weather were as good as on Tuesday (Galehead Hut), food was equally uninspired :(

I am not in good shape; I can go neither as far, nor as high, as I would like, and my pace is geriatric. But as long as I can, in one week, have lunch at both Galehead Hut and Kinsman Pond I will repeat my mantra: Life is good.
