Trail conditions: Down low about 3 inches of snow, trail is very muddy until just past the split with Flume slide trail. Water crossing were bad, but poles deffinitely help. As you approach the tent site snow increase to 6 or so inches can be rather slippery.
Special Equipment:Cold weather gear essential as wind chills where well below zero. I used crampons from just below the tent site, not 100% necessary but it made going easier, especially on the trip down.
Comments: Gorgeous day for a hike, wish i would have gotten started a bit earlier.
