Date of Hike: 4/23/08
Trail Conditions: A few odd patches of snow here and there, slightly wet in places, but overall dry with good footing.
Special equipment Required: None
Comments: Steve Smith had been bugging me to do this hike, with its excellent views, for a long time. Even in my current state of unfitness it did not look worth doing as a standalone hike: 2.5 miles round trip with 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Today we did it as a "bonus peak" after another small peak, Black Mountain (Benton).
About half the ascent is extremely steep, making the WMG statement that it "... provides excellent views for a very modest effort" a bit of a sick joke. No complaint about the views, though.
