Route: Glencliff Trail up, Carriage Road to summit, Carriage Road down to Hurricane Trail, Hurricaine Trail back to Glencliff Trail
Date of Hike: May 18, 2008
Trail Conditions: Low elevations clear and dry. Alternating patches of snow and dry ground between elevations of 4300 and 4600 feet. The snow reached a max depth of about 4 feet, but was usually only 6-8 inches in the rut people walk in. The summit near/above treeline was clear. Hurricane Trail was very muddy with five downed trees.
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: Saw about 10 hikers today. All barebooted. Easy hike. Although snow/ice were present for three-quarters of a mile or so, they were not an issue at all for me.
