Avatar - I had one for a while, then decided to change it and went blank for a few days while looking for something good to change it to. That is me backpacking on the John Muir Trail this summer, spectacular!!!! Wild flowers abound, crystal clear lakes and streams, snow capped majestic mountains, and blue bird skies. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.

loved that spot(Lake Harris) this yr. when we did santa and panther...fog on water in the am. Count me in for the Big MC..next yr..
I've stayed at Lake Harris a few times. Awesome base camp for sure.
I hear ya on the layoffs. We go through that every year so I'm kind of getting used to it...although it doesn't make it any easier.
Let me know when you want to do MacNaughty!!! I want to do it for the same reason. I think there are a few others that might be interested in doing it too.
Same stuff different week...work all week, hike all weekend I'll be finishing the NH peaks on Jefferson on the 15th or 16th. Can't get enough of the outdoors. What's up with you?

There was like 12 of us and we rented the camp Peggy Obrien cabin for the weekend and he was there. It was really fun!

Not yet. But it's always a little warmer here at Cornell, because of the lake. I bet it's snowing at my house. According to the radar on weather.com it is! We're supposed to get 3-5 inches tonight and another 2 or so tomorrow.
