I appreciate all the trail breaking that is going on!!!!

I was told that today, Monday, a small group was planning to climb Hough via Lillian Brook. If they made it they can count it twice at least!

We are starting at 7AM and going up Macomb first, I think breaking trail up Lillian Brook in those conditions will be very hard so we will likely take that route down depending on conditions, if too wet we will backtrack. I have climbed Macomb and Hough in winter many times and from all directions, Lillian Brook last .5-mile is extremly steep, then up to Hough is very steep as well.... more so in the winter it seems....

Posted a future trip for the Dix Range. Looks like you're going up Tuesday? If you want to join us or vulture our tracks, feel free. Don't know if we're going up Macomb or Lillian Brook first, we'll make that decision later.

It's most likely that due to the snow cover the group din't find the cairn which maybe is further away from the main trail that they remembered.

Christine I just read a trip report over on the other forum that said all the flagging and the cairn marking the split for C&R was taken down. Did you guys do that or was it a disgruntled hiker?
