Hey Little Rickie...going to Hudson valley Beer Night?
I did want to make snow caves and sleep in them. Maybe next winter. I did climb Marcy, awesome day, spent almost two hours between the summit and back down the cone. Sunny, warm, no hats, gloves, or jackets.

No problem, LR. The stay was nice, although we only ended up staying one night. This, being my first stay at a hostel/bunkroom type place, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was picturing one big open room with a bunch of bunkbeds. We had our own private room with a bunkbed in it. It was nice, there were three or four shared bathrooms. 30 bucks a night include breakfast. Unfortunately, we left before breakfast...it's not served til 8. I guess cross country skiiers like later starts than us hikers. I'd stay there again.
Hey Little Rickie! I think I remembered reading you stayed at the Casacade Ski Center before. If so, give me the ins and outs of the place. Staying there this Thursday and Friday, what do I need to know? Thanks!
