Mt Clinton Road reopened from Crawford Notch end to Edmands Path parking

great news, walked the road from 302 in July, did not understand why it was closed to Edmunds- road is rough as it has been for years, but usable, at least to the trailhead. Also great that Sawyer river road is open now as well.

Mt Clinton Rd from Base road

It is 2.1 mile from 302 side, 1.2 from base road. I went from 302 side and came back down over Pierce, not a bad day. The road seemed the same to me, others have reported a sinkhole, I did not notice on my walk? Perhaps it is near the base road? Anyways, I have seen reports that it may not be...

Great admiration for those who have listed and gridded, significant accomplishments cudos indeed. Different motivations for me in 39 years of hiking, but things such as highest peaks in a state, # of states, hiking in a number of western states, or getting to Baxter every year are some type of...

    Porcupine Encounters

Two years ago tenting on Teton Crest trail heard a noise in the vestibule, expecting a pesky marmot, came nose to nose with porky:eek:When we got down ranger said it was a new problem on that trail- they were eating through pack straps and boots left out, they thought for the salt. Lucky for us...
