    Moriah by C-M Trail

I'm thinking of hiking this tomorrow and haven't seen any recent (post-snow) trip reports. Does anyone have recent information? Is there currently anywhere to park? -vegematic

    Crag Camp

I don't recall Crag Camp having sleeping pads but I may have forgotten. Gray Knob does have mattresses in the sleeping loft. Overnight temps are getting down close to freezing or below in the valleys and are probably below freezing pretty reliably up at Crag and Gray Knob. I would avoid a filter...

    Trails that became bushwhacks

This weekend I decided to redline the southern half of the Albany Mtn Trail. It fits squarely into the "becoming a bushwhack" category. -vegematic

    Snow-free trails 2015?

I hiked the Red Rock Ridge using the Miles Notch and Great Brook Trails. Snow free. We did not take the 4.4-mile round trip to Speckled so I can't say whether it is snow free for sure, but it probably is.

    Snow-free trails 2015?

I hiked the Stone House and White Cairn Trails on Blueberry Ledge south of Evans Notch last week and the loop was snow-free and spectacular! The Roost, north of Evans Notch is also snow-free.

Found Eyeglasses on the Sugarloafs off Zealand Rd.

I found a pair of eyeglasses at the junction between North and Middle Sugarloaf spurs on 27 March. Would like to get them back to their owner. -vegematic

    Vertigo

I've had vertigo only twice in my life (so far) spaced years apart and each time it came on suddenly. After my first episode I learned of the Epley Maneuver and tried it out the next time it happened. The vertigo resolved more rapidly when I used the maneuver. None of the episodes lasted more...

Suggestions - Overnighter in the Whites w/ hut stay

It doesn't look like anyone has mentioned the Randolph Mountain Club facilities on the north slope of Mt Adams: http://www.randolphmountainclub.org/sheltersinfo/aboutourshelters.html Crag Camp and Gray Knob are cabins with bunk rooms. They are not as well equipped as the AMC facilities as you...

Elevation Gain for the 22-mile Tully Loop Trail?

I hiked it as a day trip in spring of 2012. I'm surprised to hear that the total elevation gain is as much as you listed as it did not feel like that much. It was mostly rolling terrain. Occasionally steep but usually not. It was several smallish climbs and no really long hauls. I quite enjoyed...

Evans Notch - Route 113 open?

There's been some work done on 113 between the height of land and RT 2. I don't recall seeing any new pavement south of the height of land. South side of the notch can be rough for cycling in places but not so bad for autos. The frost heaves should be much less of an issue by the middle-end of...

Evans Notch - Route 113 open?

North gate is still closed as of yesterday afternoon and there is still quite a bit of snow on the road. From the south, the road is plowed past the Baldface parking area. The road is in awful condition with frost heaves but you can get to the trailhead. If your car is very low clearance the...
