I just got back from buying a pair of North Face Lifty 400 gtx boots at EMS for only $15.99. I have worn my exisiting Liftys' on several ADK winter hikes and they are great. Very warn, suffortive and light. There were other winter boots (clearance price - 80%). REMEMBER WINTER IS JUST AROUND...

I live in Florida, NY birthplace of Seward. Although not a national holiday the village does celebrate Sewards birthday every year. The 3 or 4th grade school kids learn about Seward and peform a "Seward Skit". and the Main Street is closed and a street fair run all day.
