Splitrock Res after-work paddle

Coldfeet and I met RockySummit at Splitrock yesterday after work and had a nice paddle to the islands and back. RockySummit even caught a fish!

My first kayak in my Mystic, the other paddles have been in my plastic Dagger on a local river...

Jay, Tony, I had a great time....my pics should be up tomorrow....

We saw a few different birds (loons) , I really saw some deer hanging around the edges of the forest, and a family of geese with their gooslings (sp?)....of course my eyes played tricks on me, thinking I saw a duck which was a snapped tree, a turtle which really was a goose and did I tell you about the mermaid?

How about them bugs afterwards?....Man I couldn't take that, I have bug head nets that I think i'll leave in my car for future trips...

Oh yeah, had a great time paddling with you guys. Don't forget the Osprey we watched dive bombing the water for fish! Very cool.
