What a nice reminder of the life lessons we learn on our hikes. The mountains _ just like the people around us _ give us so much if we only put in a little effort and are receptive to it.

Hi there, friends and fellow hikers! As many of you have already heard, I've moved down south and am currently living in Hot-lanta. But I've still left my hiking heart in New England ... Which brings me to a planned visit up north in a couple of months, and I wanted to give folks an early heads...

Well, I just moved again. I don't know yet if it's a dream place but it's been pretty nice so far: Atlanta, GA. The best part is being able to drive around in my convertible Beetle with the top down _ in April!

Neil and Sylvie: Please know that you're in my thoughts. He was way too young and this is truly a tragedy. God bless...

Thank goodness you and Judi had better weather for it this year than last! Wish I could've seen it on TV but I was doing the Manchester Road Race in CT -- and it was a downright balmy 50-degrees-plus!

Not even a looksee at the new knee -- unless some real wildness took place after I'd departed! But it was absolutely amazing and heartening to see Pat getting around with neither crutches nor a cane, nor really much of a limp that I could detect. Way to go, Pat -- now we hope Audrey has similar...

A belated note to say thanks for a great turnout! It was so nice seeing old faces and a few new ones, and catching up on everyone's lives on and off the trails! I saw a few cameras so hopefully someone has pix they can post.
