No muss, no fuss. Directly from source to Massachussets, no Maine woods, no White Mountains, etc.
An acquaintance hiked and camped in the canyon several years ago, and has convinced me to join a small group for a repeat (probably September 2022). Your pictures have inspired me, so am so looking forward to it.
Was going to suggest some good Maritimes syrup:) reconsidered, and suggest this https://hilltopboilersmaplesyrup.com/ They advertise US shipping on anything over $50 bucks. Located in Maine.
I'm still struggling with this. Won't be crossing the border until my 2nd shot, but will probably stay at Dolly Copp and do day hikes for this summer, at least. If things are back to "normal" by fall, Joe Dodge might be an option.
If anyone is using one of these.

I've seen a Sawyer Squeeze in use. Produced 8 litres of water (for 8 people) in about 20 minutes (including lugging the water from the pond). I lugged, owners of the Squeeze produced.
When I was much younger, our Parks and Rec Director (originally from somewhere in New England) would organize a ski trip to Greenville from our town in Nova Scotia. We used the passenger rail service that was mentioned earlier in this thread.
I remember that weekend. Was there Friday and Saturday, never got above treeline. Woke up Sunday morning to a forecast of minus 65 F windchill at the summit, so went home. Didn't hear about Kate until a day or two later.
IMHO, going up is often easier than going down. Not making excuses for them, just sayin'. My avatar is a pic of my first experience with Microspikes (on the Lion Head summer trail, in November, many years ago). Going down was definitely harder.
Thanks for the thought. Not really interested in going south. It's my lack of Northeastern winter hiking and skiing that's giving me withdrawal symptoms.:( Can't even go to the Chic Chocs right now, without quarantining for 2 weeks on my return to Nova Scotia.
Maine exempts visitors from NH and VT. https://www.maine.gov/covid19/restartingmaine/keepmainehealthy/faqs
Exemptions for 4 other states has ended. Doesn't do me any good, though. :(
