Dial and Nippletop, a 3 season hike!

Ah yes, I've been there...I know what you mean. You did it though. And I'm sure you'll be back more than once. Sounds like a rewarding day none the less.

Views and Brews #1 finish - the death drive

Ed, I'm thinking I need to have some glasses made with the logo like your picture...that's awesome. Jay, the next list to finish is NEHH...only 6 left so I'll need to focus on that this year. Since I need Jay and Big Jay, I will probably combine those with the Vermont Brewer's Festival this...

Views and Brews #1 finish - the death drive

Hey to be #1 all you have to do is create your own list. Although, it is easier if you do them all before you publicize to ensure you get #1!! I was hearing from several people who were working on the list so I decided I better get it done. Coldfeet...there is someone looking at coming up...

    Peakbagging lists

There is also the Taconic Crest Trail End-to-End. I know there is a group who sponsors this event each year (usually in early May). I think it was either an ADK chapter or the Taconic hiking club??? And yes, there is always viewsandbrews!! Pete who drove 1200 miles? Were they actually...

Views and Brews #1 finish - the death drive

Long post...sorry...but it was 10 total on the list and 1628 miles to get the finish (and be number 1)!! I started out planning to do 1 views and brews hike over the weekend. I contacted my Krazy friend to do Lyon Mountain on Saturday and visit the pub in Plattsburgh. Then I thought I could...

T-Max Winter 35er on Windham HP

Terri...congrats again. I'm glad I could be there for your finish. It was a great day. I can't believe how warm it was. Although shorts and a t-shirt at the top was a bit much...but as you said....Krazy Kanadian. :-) Nice meeting you Dick, Joanne, and David. Hope to see you on the trails...

March Winter Catskills Peak Bagathon 9th-12th

Going in from Biscuit brook would be very wet and maybe some high streams to cross. I think coming back over Fir is better. It is an easier car spot too. Maybe I'll see you at Last Chance on Sunday as I'll be there for the celebration.

My first ADK winter weekend 3/4 + 3/5

Avalanche Lake is a beautiful place to visit. We took a group of kids from our local high school up there for President's weekend. They loved it. You probably saw people going up the trap dyke to Mt. Colden. It's a popular challenge, but it's not one I would want to take in winter! Mt. Jo...

    Rocky and Lone...underestimated again!

The first time I did Rocky and Lone it ended up taking 12 hours. It had nothing to do with climbing the peaks though. It was all about the stream crossings. All the waters were high. We actually threw rocks in for one crossing to make it across. We had to take our shoes off to cross Donovan...

    Bob&Geri's Winter 48 on Bondcliff - 3/5/06

Banff Mtn Film Festival -NY/NJ meet

Sounds like fun. I'm sure we could come up with something to go along with the music. Once we have the lyrics we can figure out what the story line is. I was there too. I saw Aaron, but he was busy linking up with someone else he knew. I looked around for you Jay, but I didn't see you.

    Wittenberg-Cornell-Slide (Sat. Feb. 25, 2006)

I'm glad it cleared up for you to get some of the great views from that range. It's a wonderful hike, although I have yet to do it in that direction. Last year we did it right after about a foot of fresh powder had fallen. It made it a lot of fun. Now you have the experience with the...

    Mount Sherrill

Cool! So I guess this means 5 to go. You and me both on the spills. I always seem to have at least one fall on a hike.

    Seymour - 2/25/06

When I heard the summer trail head was still open, I just couldn't resist taking advantage of this to get Seymour. I remember all too well that extra 6 miles of road walk last year for the rest of the Sewards. However, that was an easier day. I started out about 7:45 AM with a cloudy day...
