    While Twin Mountain lacks greatly in nightlife..or even food choices..there is not a better take off point for many peaks in the Whites..quite convenient If it came down to food and coffee choices I guess my vote would be Gorham

    Trail conditions: A bit wet packed snow up to the water crossings which were bridged..More powder from there..up to 8-10 inches of fresh up high on consolidated base..Some much deeper drifts. Beautiful snowshoe track on descent though sadly barebooters were headed up later in the afternoon...

    snowing light to moderate in Meredith at present very light fluffy snow..really blew around today 3 inches yesterday..around 10 so far today on the recently shoveled back deck while it was nasty mid day the roads are cleared and i stopped at Lagos for a glass of wine (or 2) on the way...
