I now have close to 40 :eek: axes. My excuse is that I use them. I had great luck this year at the Brimfield Fair - picked up 5 - none over $15 a piece. Let me know if you need any single bit handles. I've got some local ash handles from Windy Ridge. I've also had some good luck with House...

I do too! This year was the first we've seen red-bellies in our field. I didn't want to interrupt nature though (we watched this progress from start to finish over the course of two hours).

re: edmands path. Most trails are maintained by volunteers in the White Mountains. It's likely that the adopter just hasn't been out yet. I'd suggest emailing the Pemigewasset Ranger district and let them know. They can probably get someone out with a chainsaw...
