opening day for Winter reservations has been consistent over the years, with about 20 folks spending the night before in BSP HQ lot, and another 30 or so showing up opening morning ... most folks trekking up for Winter reservations opening day are trying for CP bunkhouse ... always a fun time in...

had lunch with SherpaKroto, Gris and Ash recently ... Sherpa took up scuba diving and hasn't hiked much since his ski accident a few years ago ... the Bluffs are on hiatus, w*rking on side projects until our next World Tour ... would be fun to do something next summer ...

oct 08 - packed up camp at Elmore, then MtnMa and MtnPa dropped me off at Smugglers Notch ... nice views of Mansfield frosted with snow on the pines hiking up from Smugglers Notch ... built a small snowman on Madonna Peak, then headed to Whiteface Shelter, which i had to myself oct 09 - hiked...

pretty sure they have beers in the airport ... they help pass the time when your flight gets delayed ... if you hang a bear bag properly, there's no way bears will ever get it ... unless they try ... black bears are cool ... especially when they hoist silver cups in the air :)

we could have Bearly Live out there ... with Caveman and MarcHowes in charge of the bonfire, that evil bridge would be history inside a half hour :)
