Having been inspired by the recent bold solo adventures by my friend Mats Roing I decided to disregard danger and undertake huge risks on the Lonesome lake trail last saturday:

Wow, glad you were okay after such a tough solo hike.

You are aware of all the dangers of hiking alone I assume and maybe you and Mats should take a class and learn some safety skills before your next undertaking....

Also the dangers of hiking up to a hut in winter conditions...you never know who or what you might run into up there..............??????????

I was considering heading up there but didn't dare.......too risky......it would probably have made the Jackson traverse the next day impossible.....

some might consider hiking solo in april a foolish venture

throwing caution to the wind doesn't seem as risky when you know there are SAR folks nearby

solo adventure

Thats nothing, the other day I soloed the strip in North Conway, my epic included tourist, overpriced coffee, and being shot down that night at a local bar by a visiting, yet beautifull young lady from canada. I barely made it out of town with my dignity still intact.
