    Zealand & Guyot via Zealand Trail and Twinway 10/10

    Sunny, somewhat chilly day. In the parking lot at Zealand needed warm coat. gloves and hat. They were quickly discarded as I hiked. Trails mostly dry and well marked. Quite windy at Guyot-needed wind jacket, hood, and gloves. Poles helpful. Views of the mountains beautiful. Mountain49 Julie

    Madison via Airline and Valley Way 9/26

    All trails are well marked and easily followed. About 10:30am clouds and sun turned into fog and light rain. The climb up to summit is always awesome, no matter what the weather. Needed raingear and sturdy boots. Mountain49

    South & Middle Carter via 19 Mile Brook Trail & Carter Dome 9/11

    Gorgeous day for a hike. Trails are dry and well marked. Sunscreen helpful. Started hike with Sasha who put up a flag on South Carter. At noon I reached Middle Carter just as the flag was being hoisted. About 9 other hikers there, for this inspirational moment.
