Thanks for the link Brian. I recall the earlier thread but not the pictures. I never realized what it looks like without being covered with snow and ice having never been up that way in non-winter conditions.

I've always noticed what appears to be a shelter near the dam about a mile up o19 Mile Brook Trail n the other side of the brook from the trail. Never see footprints leading to it. Isn't in the AMC guide. Anyone know its use? I'd think it was related to the dam but looks fairly new.

Quite a nice winter we're having. Even here on the Maine coast the snow has been predominantly a very light powder. Stacks high, easy to clear and ideal for walking. Packs nice with no ice!

I like the look of the Cloud Chaser. It looks like it would resolve the problems I have fitting one of mine with the overcoat (a 50# lab/whippett mix) as it comes up tightly on the smaller belly. The "model" dog on the web site has the same large chest/small belly as Nellie.

We've got these for our dogs and they're great except for the one negitive in the reviews. Snow tends to collect in the chest area. As long as you clean it out fairly often you're okay but if you don't keep up on it quite a bit of ice can form directly on the chest and belly.
