    Foliage is Stunning this Fall

Question for the White Mountains locals and/or those who were in the White Mountains this past weekend: I know it's not an exact science, but what areas do you think will be hitting peak foliage this coming weekend? Thanks.

Mt Clay, Washington, and Jefferson via Caps Ridge Trail ... September 30th

It's from the ridge between Clay and Washington. You can see the north bump of Clay coming out of the left side of the photo.

Mt Clay, Washington, and Jefferson via Caps Ridge Trail ... September 30th

The goal today was to get above treeline as quickly as possible....and stay there. Caps Ridge Trail to The Cornice to the Gulfside Trail. Then to Mt Clay and Mt Washington summits. Returned on Gulfside to the summit of Mt Jefferson. Back down Caps Ridge. Not great conditions for...

    King Ravine Trail

The King Ravine Trail is the funnest trail I've ever hiked. A big, steep jungle gym with huge boulders. Up King Ravine Trail, with side trips to the Subway and the Ice Caves...yes, there is ice there, and it was soooo cold in there....awesome. To Adams, then Madison. Down Valley Way...

Mount Adams Saturday 8/20 - up Lowe's Path, down Air Line

Nice pictures as usual, Jonathan. Maybe we crossed paths. I visited Adams and Madison that day. Those low clouds were moving fast.

    Mount Katadin - Baxter Peak - Hunt Trail/AT 8-16-2016

This is a great video. Really gives the viewer a taste of that trail.

    Sphinx Trail

It had been way too long since I had gotten lost on the Great Gulf Trail, and I was itching to do it again. I also wanted to finally explore the Sphinx Trail. And since my one-day round trip drive from RI was already going to be long enough, I decided to park at Ammo/Jewell and skip the extra...

    Question about trip reports

Cool. Thanks. Shameless plugs to individuals' trip report sites is one of the things I'm looking for.

    Question about trip reports

That's a great well-known site for trail conditions. But I'm looking for actual trip reports. Prose and pictures.

    Question about trip reports

Looking for a site that posts trip reports for NH, Maine, and Vermont. I like reading trip reports, especially backpacking trip reports, and this site's trip reports forum seems to be decreasing the last year or so. Is there a facebook page where people post trip reports....specifically a...

Acadia National Park - 4th of July Weekend

Love the picture titled "Kelly navigating the last stretch of the ladders". I have the same shot of my wife right there. Definitely would ruin your day if you fell there.

    Trail Litter

On a related note: Passing through the Galehead Hut area a few weeks ago on my way to the Twin Brook Trail and saw a guy wearing a shirt that said in big bold letters "PLYMOUTH F###ING STATE". Class act, wearing that in an area filled with families. His parents must be so proud of him.

Raging water is seen better in a video than in a photo. East Branch Pemi River at the suspension bridge at Lincoln Woods trailhead. https://walkinginthewoods.smugmug.com/Hiking-Backpacking-and-1/2010/White-Mountains-Oct-1-3-2010/i-3r5bH2B...

The Photo Below Mine is ...

This isn't what you meant, but ..... bridge with one rail is sort of a monorail. TPBM is so cold you didn't want to take your camera out, but you're glad you did.

The Photo Below Mine is ...

I like the LWT. Especially early morning or early evening. TPBM is someone creatively using a piece of gear in a way it wasn't primarily intended to be used (example: hiking pole to hold up a tarp)

Top of Huntington Ravine. Cardinals hat on top for scale. TPBM is a no-fall area

Sunrise from Cadillac Mountain, Acadia National Park TPBM is someone who wishes he/she had stayed home that day.

The Photo Below Mine is ...

That's a tough one. Just to keep the game going, I'll submit a 50 percent solution (no mountains in the shot). TPBM is pondering or performing a difficult water crossing
