Ranger Molly rescuing a naked, bacon grease covered, Dr. Wu. I will not go there, I will behave, I will not go there.

Bald Mountain and Artist's Bluff with Sage, Sept. 13, 2009

Quite likely. On Mt. Washington this past weekend, I think her two little feet touched every single rock that makes up the summit pile. :D

    Pemi Wilderness Bridge Removal Project

Correct. The bridge, and trail, in question is the 0.7 mile segment of the Wilderness Trail near the Bondcliff Trail. This 0.7 mile segment of trail will also be closed and reclaimed. The I-beam bridge that spans Black Brook will also be removed as part of this project.

Flags on the 48 - Mt Madison

If anyone noticed a grey car coasting slowly through the Appalachia parking lot around this time, that was me. I waved at a few faces I recognized from pics but only got bewildering looks back. :D Nice job ladies, guys, and four footed friends.

Nice write-up Trish. I'm glad you convinced me to take the drive up after all. It was nice to hang out on rock with both you and Alex again and to finally meet Sage and Hugh.

Thanks for the greenie, I didn't do much however. I was merely at the summit to greet those friends who were hiking up and share the summit time with them. Next year, I will actually hike a summit for the event.

    Flags on the 48 - 2009 - 09/12/2009

Washington was quite a success! Trish will have a nice trip report I am sure but a couple quickies: I arrived on the summit at 8:30am and had the summit to myself for about 30 minutes. I also had the only views of the day at this time of day as blankets of random size fog rolled in and out...

anyone feel they have an accurate forecast for tomorrow ?

As I will be on Washington tomorrow, I've been following the weather closely. Despite conflicting forecasts from those who get paid the big bucks my gut is telling me that we will have decent weather up North with very limited sprinkle showers here and there. I suspect clouds and a low...
