    did Jackson-Pierce loop today, trail is broken between the two, may drift overnight but lots of traffic up there today. Up to Jackson, no need for an ice axe. we wore snowshoes start to finish

    RIP, much of what we all enjoy today is thanks to him and those like him. Until recently, I didn't know the circumstances around his death. I'm torn between a sad ending or a fitting ending or both.

    I've had good luck with a Nikon product for anti-fogging. Re-usable wipes that are made for camera lenses but has worked well on my goggles

    I've seen a few posts and conditions reports about newly available Mittersill trail to Cannon. Anybody have stats to share- time, miles, elevation gain etc? I did see Rocket's stats on his hiking site but nobody but Rocket hikes at his pace :)

    I ended up taking Polecat, with a short detour on Tomcat. Joe, you were right, you can pretty much jog down Polecat, well, you could :)
