    Joe English Hill Legal?

Anybody know what the legal status is of hiking Joe English Hill from Summit Drive in New Boston NH? I've seen a few TRs pop up around the web lately and would like to go check it out since its very close to me. When we were kids we used to Rock climb on the cliffs on the other side of the...

    Pemi loop

I know the aesthetics of it are not great, but since it is very much part of the most recognized route the lollipop stick stays. I think this is my final design, I like it much better than what I originally had in mind thanks to the input of from this forum. Thanks!

    Pemi loop

The text under pemi loop is for my website. Part of my making this is to have something with my blogs domain name on it I can give out. I often meet people on the trail and they have to get creative trying to find a way to write down my website name to look up later. I forget, is the lollipop...

    Pemi loop

My 4 attempts: 16 hour clockwise + Galehead, a 14 hour clockwise, a bailout down twin brook for thunderstorms counterclockwise, and a bailout down twin brook for cramping clockwise. And yes, clockwise the ascent up South Twin is absolutely the crux. Tim, Do you have a GPX file of that?

    Pemi loop

I really like a lot of this concept. I work with GIS for a profession so I could probably filter out layers of tracks and topo profile, and make a cool design with photoshop Haha, or maybe if I let this thread go long enough someone will just do all the design work for me.:)

CAUTION for people who hike with dogs

Reading this was heartbreaking and I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for the heads up. I bushwhack with my dog a lot in prime hunting grounds and never would have thought about this possibility.

    Scrambles in New England

Great List! My favorite closed trail: Adams Slide Trail. The White Arrow on Monadnock has some scrambles on it. As mentioned before, I second The Algonquin Trail on Sandwich,

    NH 4000-Footer Superlatives

Agreed on Signal Ridge. Awesome view. The Tower takes away from the summit Relative to his list I was comparing it to how he had Garfield as good for beginners, and the steep rocky section below the Summit is comparably steep to anything on Ammo. And the, view from the cabin and lookout...

    NH 4000-Footer Superlatives

I'm surprised you have Monroe as being too difficult. And not "fun and relatively safe for beginners." Ive always considered that a great introduction to Washington for new hikers. PS I love your web site.

Where would you buy (Location, location, location...) ??

I've been working on a similar plan for years and Jefferson was always the goal. But now that I have a kid I'm looking at the Alexandria area, as close to My Favorite Sweater as possible. Its not unrealistic to shoot down to 93 to Derry if I have to go in to work from there now and again...

Has anyone seen the summit fox on Mt Washington this year? I used to see him all the time up there but not recently, haven't noticed any recently taken pics of him on the MWO site either. Heres my favorite shot I've took of him
