Trail Bandit Ossipee Mountains (NH) Map - 1st Edition (2009)

More feedback on this map from Bill who doesn't post here. He's an Ossippee Range veteran The map is fabulous-larger than any other map I've seen except Brad Washburn's Presidential Range masterpiece...easy to see all the smaller peaks and their elevations. And there are lots of them.

Bird count shows effect from climate change

The robins around me have been feasting on berries which are abundant. I would imagine the reason they are here is because of the food.

    Zealand, W. Bond, Bond

Nice account of your hike. We noticed tracks this past Saturday on Bond also and thought someone had been up there that day. We saw two people on Bondcliff decending but the trail from Bond to Bondcliff was unbroken so those were old tracks also. I'm curious if you saw the deep hole Bryan...

Classic Bonds Traverse for W48 Completion

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I've had so many wonderful experiences in the mountains. Doctors said with Hypo Pan Pit disease, this would be hard to impossible. Don't listen to them, listen to yourself! Now the best part, finally, some pictures...

Classic Bonds Traverse for W48 Completion

The blazes, though low on the trees were still visable and you could also see the old deep track if you looked. The only confusing spot was heading to West Bond. You'll see the big hole where Bryan was trying to dig a snowcave :) There is nowheres near as much snow up there as there was last...

4:45am RT-302 Warning-This is Long, sorry The moon was setting through a veil of wispy cloud as we headed up Zealand Road. Jeb Bradley, Bill Swaffield, Bob Shilo, Ed (Oldman from VFTT) and I passed a logging truck near the bottom. The driver was putting chains on for the steep hill ahead...

Faraway Mtn May Be Closer Than You Think

As we left the main trail, we climbed (somewhat) to the cell tower. It seemed like the highpoint to me. I'm counting it!:) From a distance it looks like the highpoint also.

Faraway Mtn May Be Closer Than You Think

So when I did Faraway for my winter list a few weeks ago, did I go to the real summit? We went from Roberts and then went off the trail on what looked like a road to a cell tower. Then we went back to the trail where there is a really nice view further down.

Tough Day on Mount Washington, 1/31/2009

Wow, great job guys! I wish I could've been there. Congrats on pushing through and then navigating back to safety. I looked at the summit cam yesterday at about noon and thought about you guys.
