    Testing Rechargeable Batteries

Thanks for the reply. If you're talking about this one I have it but it doesn't read on any of my batteries. Maybe I got a defective one (maybe all my batteries are bad). Tester

    Testing Rechargeable Batteries

I have some AA rechargeable batteries and I suspect one or two of them are weak and do not fully recharge but I'm not sure how I can test them or isolate the one or two poor ones out of many good ones. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Fly Fishing in the Whites

The places are almost unlimited in NH. You do need a fishing license of course. If you're looking for walk in access only there is Black Pond off the Lincoln Woods Trail and several different spots on the Ammonoosuc River and many others. You can find out lots at this link. Fishing

    Xmas Hikings

Drakes Brook could well be impossible to get across right now or at least very treacherous. It's almost always quite high and after heavy rain like this very high and fast. If Drakes Brook is at a reasonable level then I agree with your assessment. The Algonquin Trail won't be much fun if it's...

    Trail Work

I am the trail adopter for the lower section of the Greenleaf Trail and have been maintaining the trail for the past 8 years. I used to do from the road to Lafayette Summit but it got to be too much. There are some spots that need new water bars in the lower section. I could use some help with...

    Scratched gps plexiglass.

You can go to a local auto parts store. Most of them have a product made for plastic headlamp lenses. It takes a headlamp lens that has been badly scratched and sandblasted and makes it look like new. If you want I'll try to find the exact name of the product, I think it will work good on your...

Question for people who hike w/dogs

I hike with my dog. He's a Sheltie which is a herding dog. I don't always have him on a leash but I make him stay close and make him sit and stay when people approach. I worked with him quite bit in the woods at home before we ever went on a hiking trail. I made sure he would stay within my...

Hiking and Bluegrass Music - Any interest?

I play Bluegrass banjo and upright bass! I've been picking and field camping at the Pemi for 9 years now. I will be too busy to hike but perhaps we can hike before then and after it's over. Garry G. New Hampshire

Check out Stephenson's Warmlite. It's a 2 person 4 season double wall tent and weighs only 3.2 lbs. I have one and am very happy with it.
