It's time to head to Scar and Peak Above the Nubble again

Jniehof, that is the way we did it long ago but all the reports now seem to go from an different area and never hit Haystack. I was curious. I remember the tops had a lot of downed trees but other than that we just went up.

It's time to head to Scar and Peak Above the Nubble again

OK...It's time to get these 2 out of the way. I did them 12+ years ago and I'm sure things have changed. Has anyone done Peak Above the Nubble both going by Haystack and the other way where you start before that? Looking for feedback. Also, on Scar. Last time I did it from the Kanc...is...

So you hit Carrigan first then bushwacked from there? My friend needs Carrigan but never thought of doing it that way....can you give me more details. I had always heard it was a very tough bushwack from Carrigan to Vose Spur. And the last time I did it, I don't remember hitting a rock slide...

Asolo Boot Longevity? – Read This!

The same thing happened to me with my boots (Lowas) on the way down a trail last year. They looked new but....When I called the company and sent them back, they said it was dry rot and that they would sell me another pair for a discounted price. I asked why I would do that when these literally...

Black fly reports for your area?

Was on Saddleback and the Horn in Maine on Sunday and got pretty bit up even with the deet. When the wind stopped, they feasted. They left just enough blood for us to get back down the mountain.
