    1st Snow Hike! Starr King/Waumbek 10/16/10

I love how the beginning is...well...what "non" hikers would expect. Then, you get "up"...and the snow is there. So many are so surprised by this...but WE know better...don't we?:)

    when nature calls

I think you just need to "train" your constitution...you see, I have it down to a precise timing...and each "area" of our hiking has a pretty consistent "potty store"...along the way and timed just right. A quick stop here on the way to the hike and...life is GOOD!! For overnights...well...not...

    Geocaching off Passaconaway?

I apologize, then...as I was unaware of this... I will be MUST MORE CAREFUL from this point forward. We try very hard to be good stewards, practicing "Leave no Trace", "hiker's code", "Carry in, Carry out", etc. Thank you, all, for the information...

    Geocaching off Passaconaway?

I guess my question is... is it NOT ok to put a geocache in a wilderness area (we did NOT put it there...we just looked for and found it...signed the log, and put it back)... I know that there can be issues with geocachers who put them on private land without permission and other such things...

Thanks for the info...I will print these directions and put with my map (GPS or not...we ALWAYS use a map...maps don't have that pesky "drift" issue!) (oh...and that heardpath by the viewpoint might be there because I THINK that one of the geocaches is by that view point) Wondering, however...
