Trail Conditions: Two to three inches of snow at lower elevation above a semi-solid base of ice. The trail is very icy for about 1/4 mile after Greenleaf Hut. Approach to summit mixture of rocks, ice and snow, but very manageable.
Special Equipment Required: Trekking poles were a big help, micro spikes are highly recommended, and balaclava, Neoprine mask and heavy duty gloves were essential. Had ice axe, crampons, goggles and snow shoes also, but didn't need them for this one.
Comments: High winds and bitter cold with low visibilty until early afternoon, when sky opened up a bit.
