New gate on the trail bridge.

Hopefully Dave Metsky can enlighten me or anybody else as to why this gate was added to this bridge. I can only guess to keep wildlife from getting to the lodge, but even that seems questionable.

The footings are compromised and they will close it if a high water event is forecast until they can repair it.

At least that makes more sense than what so many places have done (just remove the whatever it is and leave it without totally for years until a replacement is funded, if it is).
