The warm weather and lack of snow has been slightly depressing for skiing but great for fast hiking conditions. We did the loop clockwise and experienced pretty much every trail condition imaginable. Snow/ice line seemed to be around 3,000'. North side of Lafayette was covered in thick glare ice that required some sliding to get down. The twinway and most other trails up high but below treeline had about 3-4" of slushy snow. Bond/Bondcliff and most other areas above treeline were totally clear of snow and ice by the afternoon.

No blowdowns and the crossings were uneventful coming off of Bondcliff. We used microspikes about 40% of the time but they were very necessary in a few places.

All in all it felt more like May than December with the variable trail conditions and wet trails down low. Total time was 13:38 - we didn't visit any side peaks.
