13 Falls Overflow

I believe the normal tentsites at 13 Falls are platforms, but I've heard there are overflow sites behind the caretakers spot. Anybody know if in the off season it's frowned upon to use the overflow spots even if platforms are available? Planning on heading out this weekend and would rather set up on the ground than a platform, for a couple of reasons. But I'm mostly a rule follower, so if it's frowned upon I suppose I'll make do with a platform.

They are all dirt tent pads. As it is in Wilderness, the caretaker shouldn't even have a platform but here we are.
