I just wanted to make a quick post to say thanks to all the kind people we (Dakota and I) met on the trail this past weekend.
It was Dakota's first overnight hiking experience and I think he enjoyed it a lot. I know he may have growled while wagging his tail at a few people along the trail, but that's not uncommon when you're a dog...or at least this dog.
We had a great time taking in the sights from the Bonds, the Twins, admiring the trees on Galehead, Zealand and the clouds and wind on Guyot summit. We also got relax and take in some sun at Galehead and Zealand Huts.
The folks we met at Guyot campsite the two nights made the trip that much more enjoyable.
Thanks to all and hopefully we'll be able to make the 10+ hour trip from Maryland again soon!
