.At to imp shelter good considering rain friday. Moriah brook trail is beautiful walk till a 1/2 mile from gorge where beavers are flooding trail. Look right on both floodings for trail. Gorge jump was interesting, water was cranking. Took basin trail to rim junction. A four way crossing, trails everywhere. Trails over to the baldfaces where nice and open and well marked. The slab going down s. Baldface where not fun after a long day with a full pack. Could not imagine doing that in rain. Monday morn the climb back up was not that bad, very well marked. Now into the wilderness. The eagle trailwas was wet and over grown for first half, though well marked. The wild river trail was even worse than last year. Blow downs and rotten bog bridges for a mileand the same washed out area before the shelter making trail finding interesting. The last mile of the wild river was nice and flat except for anothe mash mud area at end. Lunch at hut then up and out down pole cat with awsome views. Had perfect weather for all 3 days. Almost 50 miles for my 50th. It was good to be back out onthe trail..
