Snowshoes, snowshoes, snowshoes. There is still lots of snow-- the snow on the trail is packed down in a narrow path, but the snow around it was soft and melting. Did some postholing even with the snowshoes. River crossings were easy. We passed some people who were doing the hike w/o snowshoes-- they seemed a little miserable, but I guess it is doable. Beautiful day for a hike!
