Hike in on jeep road for about 2 miles. Saw Bullwinkles tracks at about 1.5 miles from trailhead in the mud. Gull Lake turnoff is just before 2 mile marker on right side of road. Pretty easy going all the way to juction for Gull Lake Lean-to. Lean-to is in great shape and in great setting. Heard loons from shelter. Saw a memorial plaque on boulder at end of peninsula behind privy on shoreline. Saw an Osprey flying to nest with fishy. Pretty cool. Got to juction to go to Chubb Pond but blackflies and mosquitos almost sucked my veins dry!
