Beautiful day to boot for our ascent to Dial. Went up the HG Leach trail via Lake Rd. All clear and it was evident DEC did a TON of work clearing. Lots of slippery rocks. Peaked Dial in 4 hours. Hike to Nippletop trail was in excellent condition but significant blow down toward the summit. We could hear the chainsaws going on Dix as DEC was working hard to open that wilderness. I was shocked to see how large Dix truly is and how many slides it has. Descent via Gill Brook trail which was in good shape. Great day, 30 to go for us!
