Great weather, great company, great hike! Been up Madison 4 times now, this is now my favorite route, up madison gulf trail, down howker ridge to pine link, cut thru dolly copp and finish back @ gg parking. I really enjoy coming from rt. 16 rather than rt. 2, last year went up buttress and down osgood a great loop too. I was surprised that the madison gulf trail wasn't as difficult as I thought/hoped it would be, still a great and fun trail!

Sam loves his 5 fingers for hiking, he did king ravine to adams, with these on with me previously.

Campsite off the madison gulf trail, pretty birch site, however small 1 tent territory.

Waterfalls, stealth camps, busy bees, picnics, great views and company! Awesome day to be out and about. Wish I was there instead of work, but the great pictures will have tide me over. Any sign of Star the moose? Great TR, thanks!

hey jake

no star moose, actually no moose sightings and a lot less droppings than I'm use to seeing this year (most of my hiking this year has been in baxter, evan's n., grafton n.) looks like you had a sweet backpack trip, love those peaks!
