Congrats on the 48x2, BigEarl, excellent trip report as always, and thanks for the really cool slide show. I have had a long-time debate with myself whether I like the Moose or Lafayette/Liincoln better in winter; they are 1 and 2 with me in either case.
Dr. D. – Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the show.

That’s a tough choice. I like them both as well. The traditional loop over Lafayette and Lincoln is a favorite but I can’t tell you if my preference is clockwise or counterclockwise – to me they are two very different hikes. I really enjoy Agony Ridge.

Excellent trip report and even better pics than ever! Congrats on your lofty goal and let's not forget healing at the same time! Hope to join you for a few of next years hikes!:)
Hey Dave, thanks.

Your note reminded me the last time I had the snowshoes out was our trip on the Signal Ridge monorail to Carrigain. (That was a few days after the marathon experience by Cumulus.) It was a memorable day for sure.

The injury really slowed me down for a while but Trail Trotter was patient and I gradually worked back to around book time, or a little better. I’m sure the real fix is surgery but I’m not planning to do that, again. The rehab is terrible, and long.

You don’t need to wait for next year. We’ve been carpooling from the Exit 6 Park & Ride lot and usually have an empty seat. Hiking gets cheaper when the commute cost is spread across three or four people.

;)
