Two weeks ago, I tagged along with Sherpa K's group for a couple of nights camping at South Branch Pond in Baxter State Park. I arrived to the park on Saturday afternoon to find that everyone was out fishing. So, I took the kayak out on the pond, and hiked a 6+ mile loop over South Branch Mountain. On Sunday, I was extremly sick, so I didn't do much of anything. On Monday, however, I was feeling better, and on my way out of the park, I climbed Katahdin via the Hunt Trail. I have done this trail before, but it was my first time descending this way. The wather on Monday was mercifully better - less humidity and more wind kept the helacious swarms of back flies to a minimum.

Chomp - the red cliff to left of camp (title "N. Trav?") is actually the lower most knee of N. Trav. There are one or two more "false summits" before you actually get to NT summit!

Nice pic from Black cat, intersting perspective of the T loop and great angle/shot of POTR. What are all those black dots on lens - LOL!!! :D

GREAT katahdin pics! gotta get up there someday.

Awesome. Gosh if those shots don't look awfully familiar, too. ;)
