We took Airline to Gulfside, Gulfside to Thunderstorm, Lowes to Summit. Lowes back to Gulfside to Madison Hut. Osgood to Madison summit and back and Valley way back to trail head.
The trails were all clear today. The temps were cool to mild. There was just a slight breeze today. The bugs presented no problem while walking. They made their presence known during our brief stop on the summit of Adams. The breeze was slightly higher on Madison and there were no bugs.
From the doggie standpoint, water was scarce. Airline was mostly dry but there was some just before and after the junction with the Scar trail. Gulfside was basically dry. Lauky found a tiny bit on the summit of Adams. Obviously there is plenty just below the Madison Hut, but none on the way to the summit. There was a bit of water here and there along Valley Way.
Strange coincidence--as we were standing on the summit of Adams a gentleman came up over the side and said: "I don't believe it, I met you at this very spot two years ago when I came up here."
We didn't see anyone on our way up Airline, but did run into a number of people while above the treeline. Folks were out enjoying the beautiful day. I got a bit of sunburn on my arms and face, that hasn't happened in a long time.
No sign of the Moose today.
