Trail Conditions: All crossings were easy, but snow bridges are mostly gone. Trail slippery, post-holed, mainly ice. MSR snowshoes or microspikes perfect, you need some grip, but full crampons seemed overkill. Snowfields above treeline well consolidated, no need for snowshoes but they would have sufficed if they had good crampons.

Special Equipment Required: good grips either microspikes, full crampons, or grippy snowshoes. Full winter gear of course for winds/blowing snow above treeline.

Comments: We all left our snowshoes at home and had no trouble up and down with microspikes. Good luck to the pair trying a traverse, I hope the wind isn't too bad today.

Thanks to the 19 year old legs I was with, I hope you are as sore as I am.
